Molybdenum Alloy Plate
A nonferrous alloy with molybdenum as the base and other elements added. The main alloying elements are titanium, zirconium, hafnium, tungsten and rare earth elements，Titanium, zirconium and hafnium can not only strengthen molybdenum alloy and keep its low temperature plasticity, but also form stable and dispersive carbide phase and improve its strength and recrystallization temperature. Molybdenum alloy with good thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and low expansion coefficient, at high temperatures (1100 ~ 1650 ℃) with high intensity, easier than tungsten processing. It can be used as grid and anode of electron tube, supporting material of electric light source, as well as parts for making die casting and extrusion mould and spacecraft. The development of molybdenum alloys is limited because of its low temperature brittleness and welding brittleness, and it is easy to oxidize at high temperature. Molybdenum alloys produced by industry include molybdenum titanium zirconium series, molybdenum tungsten series and molybdenum rare earth series alloys. The main strengthening ways of molybdenum alloys are solid solution strengthening, precipitation strengthening and machining hardening. Molybdenum alloy sheet, strip, foil, pipe, bar, wire, and profile can be produced by plastic machining.

Application of molybdenum alloys
